Home Care Worker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Home Care Worker. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our customers, providing support and care that enables them to live independently.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Providing domestic assistance to ensure our customers have a safe and comfortable living environment
    • Assisting with meal preparation and grocery shopping
    • Offering social support and transportation to activities
    • Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, and managing medications
    • Delivering respite and emotional support
    • Transporting customers to appointments
    • Providing complex care for customers with high needs, such as dementia
  • Requirements:
    • A Certificate III or above in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing
    • At least 6 months of experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications
    • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle - travel is part of the role
    • The ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask for help
