Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a Support Worker to provide care and support to individuals with mental health, autism, or disability needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist participants with personal care, medications, and hygiene.
  • Support the development of independent living and life skills.
  • Assist with community access and household tasks such as shopping, cooking, and cleaning.
  • Implement support plans including those for challenging behaviors.
  • Provide care in participants' homes or within group settings.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability/Individual Support (or currently studying).
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence & reliable vehicle.
  • At least 6 months of experience in mental health, autism, or disability support.
  • Willingness to assist with personal care, hygiene, and daily tasks.
  • Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Great communication skills and a positive attitude.
