Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Manager to join our Business Strategy and Support team within the People and Capability Command.

This role provides expert advice and support to senior leaders, managers, and staff to ensure legislative compliance and best practice in HR management across the Command.

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and legislation, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice and support to senior leaders, managers, and staff on HR-related matters;
  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and policies that align with the business objectives of the Command;
  • Leading a team of HR staff to deliver high-quality HR services to clients;
  • Managing budgets and resources to achieve strategic goals;
  • Collaborating with other teams to drive business outcomes and improve organizational performance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field;
  • At least 5 years' experience in a senior HR role, preferably in a similar industry;
  • Excellent knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and legislation;
  • Strong leadership and communication skills;
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop creative solutions;
  • Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills.

Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum
