About this Opportunity

The Student Progressions Officer will play a crucial role in the processing, maintenance, and accuracy of student records under the supervision of the Head of Student Progressions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process enrolments, withdrawals, and other student-related requests.
  • Assess and respond to enquiries from faculty, staff members, students, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and configure the student management system (Quercus) by setting up fees, courses, student records, and grades.
  • Assist with the management of graduation, including assessing completions, printing, and organization.
  • Process grades and assist in grade moderation and student intervention implementation.
  • Work alongside the wider team (Student Onboarding, Student Support, and Compliance) as needed.
  • Develop and implement processes that will enhance the student experience.

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • The completion of a VET or HE degree (desired).
  • Experience in an administrative or customer-service role.
  • Experience within a tertiary institution (desired).
  • An understanding of the VET and HE sector.
  • Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone, and face-to-face.
  • Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.
  • Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
  • Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner.
  • Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
  • Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given, and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
