About the Role
This position is part of the Pro Vice Chancellor, Student Experience portfolio, which includes Student Success, Indigenous Education, Chaplaincy, Libraries, Student Life and Wellbeing. The Student Success office directly supports student achievement, retention, and progression through Learning Support, Career Development, Peer Learning, and Scholarships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Student Success portfolio, acting as the point of contact for students and employees.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare minutes, and organize correspondence.
- Assist with reports, typing of correspondences, submissions, statistical summaries, and data sets.
- Support and maintain internal databases and registers.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, providing information and advice in line with policy and procedure directives.
Requirements
- Diploma-level qualification or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to exercise initiative and judgment, and work in a flexible environment.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work productively and cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability in preparation of high-quality documentation with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capacity to coordinate office administration systems and competency in various software packages, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
