We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team at RMIT University as a Senior Manager for Gender-Based Violence Prevention. This is a key role that will lead and oversee the University's Gender-Based Violence Prevention framework and support other key gender equity-related strategies.
The successful candidate will have a strong focus on relationship building, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders and deliver impactful outcomes. This role will design and coordinate a whole-organisation culture change program of work involving a large and diverse group of stakeholders, as well as providing support and expertise to other key University initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the University's Gender-Based Violence Prevention framework
- Develop and maintain a robust culture of respect
- Design and coordinate a whole-organisation culture change program of work
- Provide support and expertise to other key University initiatives
- Manage budgets from multiple sources, including business as usual, government funding, and grants
- Develop proposals or business cases for specific projects or initiatives to attract additional funding
To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in leadership and management within complex organisations, as well as the ability to drive strategic project management initiatives. You will also have strong communication skills to prepare and present clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate materials, including project plans and briefings.
In addition, you will exhibit excellent relationship building, management, and influencing skills to consult and collaborate with a wide range of partners, including key internal and external stakeholders.
QualificationsPostgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, such as public health, health promotion, gender-based violence, gender equity, behavioral science, social work, or equivalent work experience and demonstrated experience.
