Transformational Leader for Family Violence Service

Celebrating three decades of dedication, SHK is a pioneering organisation in the field of family violence. As a leading specialist service provider, we strive to address the root causes of family violence and gender inequality at individual, community, and systemic levels. Our work is guided by an intersectional feminist approach, acknowledging that family and intimate partner violence disproportionately affects women, young people, and their pets.
With a highly trained, professional, and expert staff team, we offer specialised support, information, case management, safety planning, community education, programs for pet safety, and referral pathways to other services through The Orange Door Network. As we embark on a new chapter, our Board seeks a visionary leader to drive our organisation forward.
About the RoleThe Chief Executive Officer will report directly to the Board, providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure SHK actively pursues its vision of a community free from family violence. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Board to implement our strategic vision, building inclusive and high-performing teams, ensuring financial sustainability, and driving service excellence. This role also involves fostering purposeful relationships with stakeholders and engaging in advocacy to influence public policy.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape services, systems, and policies that transform lives, now and into the future. An estimated annual salary for this position is around AU$140,000 - AU$170,000, depending on experience.
