Job Title: Engineering Officer Asset Systems

We are seeking an experienced professional to deliver service excellence in the management of Council's asset systems.
- The primary objective is to provide a high level of service while ensuring effective management of Council assets in accordance with accounting standards and fair value measurement principles.
- Maintain a register of Council assets including roads, drainage, footpaths, cycle ways, bridges, recreational facilities, aerodromes, land, water supply and sewerage systems.
- Develop and maintain Council's Asset Management System and associated registers.
- Correlate information for the maintenance of Council assets.
- Provide infrastructure information for asset renewal and replacement programs.
- Use asset data to produce and maintain a compilation of Council asset plans.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and services provided by the role and team.
- Demonstrated experience in applying accounting policies and Australian Accounting standards for asset management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial management and statutory reporting.
- Strong knowledge of asset management principles and data maintenance requirements.
- Certificate IV in Asset Management, Engineering or equivalent; or four years of experience in a related environment.
