Job Overview

The primary goal of this position is to deliver exceptional service while effectively managing asset systems in accordance with accounting standards and fair value measurement.

  • We are seeking an experienced professional to coordinate and maintain a register of assets, including roads, drainage, footpaths, cycle ways, bridges, recreational facilities, aerodromes, land, water supply and sewerage systems.
  • You will develop and maintain asset management systems and associated registers, preparing asset information required by the organisation in compliance with policies and relevant statutory requirements.
  • This role involves correlating information associated with the maintenance of assets, including planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • You will also coordinate site surveys for collection of asset condition and detail information and verification of recorded data.
  • Your responsibilities include providing infrastructure information for the preparation of asset renewal and replacement programs.
  • You will use information from existing and newly acquired assets to produce and maintain a compilation of asset plans.
  • This role requires accurate and efficient data input and records management using a range of data capture devices and systems to ensure relevant reports and statistics are accessible to support effective decision making.
  • We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:
  • Demonstrated experience in applying and understanding accounting policies, principles and Australian accounting standards for asset management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of financial management and statutory reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management principles and data maintenance requirements for accurate details within an asset register.
  • We Are Seeking Someone Who Has:
  • Certificate IV in Asset Management, Engineering or equivalent, or four years' experience in a related environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of asset management principles, practices, and systems.
  • Experience in infrastructure condition auditing, data collection methodologies, maintenance prioritisation, and statutory reporting.
  • High levels of data literacy with a demonstrated ability to perform advanced data analysis, complex fault finding/investigations and implementing performance KPIs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Asset Management, Engineering or equivalent
  • Four years' experience in a related environment
