Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Technical Specialist to join our team. The role will involve providing mainframe application support and development for a Government Accounting System.

The system is based on Infor Masterpiece, Datacom, and CICS, used to manage critical financial operations. It includes vendor-supplied online and batch programs, as well as bespoke programs, batch jobs, and JCLs that extract, process, and export/import data for various government functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update mainframe applications for the Government Accounting System
  • Develop new mainframe applications to meet evolving business needs
  • Provide technical support for mainframe systems and applications
  • Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues

Requirements

Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, SQL, CICS, and Datacom.

Proficiency in managing ticket requests and workload using Atlassian JIRA, with the ability to maintain clear and accurate documentation.

Familiarity with Atlassian Confluence for collaborative documentation and knowledge sharing (desirable).
