About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Records Governance Manager to join our team at ASIC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and team management to ensure efficient delivery of core services and high engagement, appropriate induction, development, resourcing and recruitment, and performance development.
  • Oversee and monitor the records governance function in accordance with Australian Government information management policies and procedures and ASIC's Information Management Strategy.
  • Implement an effective records disposal program for both physical and digital records.
  • Develop and oversee a continuous improvement process of the records management function.
  • Provide relevant technical advice to stakeholders and implement programs to support records compliance.
  • Manage the corporate recordkeeping system and provide guidance on business system assessments.
  • Manage service contracts to ensure compliance with government procurement requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Manager to deliver on ASIC's strategic priorities and team business plan.
  • Support ASIC's corporate mailroom.
About You
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information or Records Management from a recognised educational/ accredited institution is essential, and/or equivalent work experience in Information/Records Management at a management level.
  • Experience administering and delivering a compliant recordkeeping system and services in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills for investigating and resolving stakeholder issues and improving work practices.
  • Experience using a variety of software applications simultaneously including information/records management systems (including RecordPoint or Records365) SharePoint or SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 environment to process, store, retrieve and report information.
  • Experience in effectively presenting information to different target audiences through strong business writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Stakeholder management experience including building, maintaining and utilising networks, sustaining positive relationships with team members and stakeholders and being responsive to changes in stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • Membership of a relevant professional association is desirable.
