Property and Maintenance Officer Job Summary

The Property and Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of school facilities and grounds.

  • Perform or arrange necessary repairs and maintenance of equipment, including plumbing and furniture.
  • Conduct building maintenance tasks such as repairing locks, doors, light fittings, and carry out regular inspections to ensure all areas are safe and secure.
  • Prepare and maintain play areas, grassed areas, and sports fields, including line marking and reporting any damage or issues.
  • Liaise with contractors and report non-programmed maintenance needs to the relevant personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with work health and safety standards.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Experience in maintenance and building repair.
  • Able to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety standards and first aid qualifications.
