Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled procurement expert to join our team in Melbourne, Australia.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary liaison between procurement and operational stakeholders across factories and distribution centers.
  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials to plant operations by suppliers, minimizing supply disruptions.
  • Translate sales and production forecasts to suppliers, ensuring alignment with long-term capacity and capability planning.
  • Lead collaboration between procurement category management and operations teams to drive cost savings, innovation, and ESG opportunities.
  • Monitor supplier performance, manage supplier relationships, and support supply risk mitigation and security planning.
  • Participate in planning meetings to align supply strategies with business needs and production efficiency goals.
  • Develop and monitor inventory management strategies to optimize working capital and cash flow.
About You:
  • A proactive team player with a growth mindset, open to knowledge sharing and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of contract development, implementation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems, inventory management, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on time management and prioritisation.
  • Experience in resolving invoice discrepancies and supporting procurement strategy implementation.
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia – with full working rights.
