Culinary Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Culinary Manager to lead our kitchen team at our Rose Court facility. As part of the site leadership team, this full-time role is responsible for ensuring the daily delivery of high-quality meals to residents, in line with their dietary preferences and nutritional needs.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams in commercial kitchens, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to foster a safe, fun, and learning-oriented culture, mentoring staff to develop their culinary skills. A positive and approachable leader who collaborates effectively with operational teams to enhance resident wellbeing.

This role requires strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will also have experience in budgeting, procurement, and stock control, as well as a Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery and a valid Food Safety Supervisor certificate.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and motivate kitchen teams to deliver high-quality meals on time.
  2. Develop and implement menus that cater to resident preferences and dietary needs.
  3. Manage kitchen operations, including budgeting, procurement, and stock control.
  4. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to enhance resident wellbeing.
  6. Mentor and coach staff to develop their culinary skills.
  7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve service standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading teams in commercial kitchens.

  • Experience in budgeting, procurement, and stock control.
