At Australian BioCommons, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing OMIX3, Australia's first integrated, accredited, multi-omic analysis platform for research and clinical samples.
This means developing cutting-edge digital solutions to enable sharing and analysis of human omic and phenotype data. Your expertise will shape national research infrastructure, drive collaboration with top scientists, and directly contribute to AI-driven discoveries for improved health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Create production-grade tools for automated data flows, including archiving, cataloguing, and analysis of sensitive human omics datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new software features and integration points.
- Design and execute test plans, lead code reviews, and maintain high-quality codebases.
- Work with diverse stakeholders to align technical solutions with project needs.
- Skilled Software Developer with a passion for data pipelines and systems integration.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to high-quality engineering in a collaborative environment.
- Extensive experience developing robust Python code.
- Deep understanding of ETL processes and data processing.
- Experience with Unix/Linux command-line utilities and shell scripting.
