Staff Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Data Engineer to join our Property Core Squad. In this role, you will shape the technical direction of a collaborative and supportive team.

You will work on an exciting greenfield project, designing, implementing, testing, and deploying complex data architectures and APIs using various technologies and platforms.

This is an opportunity to lead the technical aspects of projects, initiatives, or slices, taking them from pre-discovery stage to production. You will also support, guide, and grow less experienced technical team members, being a go-to person for them to learn and grow individually.

You will continually assess and improve the health of our system guided by industry best practices. This role involves working closely with a team of Data Engineers, BA, QA, Engineering Manager, and Product Manager to deliver great outcomes for property data products.

We value iterative experimentation and data-driven decisions in our wider agile team. Our ideal candidate has a minimum 5-7 years' experience working in data engineering with a proven track record in building reliable, performant, and scalable data applications and pipelines.

The successful candidate will have developed skills in modern data engineering techniques such as data modelling, data pipelines, data streaming, data consumption, etc. Proficient in Python, SQL, Typescript, and some experience in Scala is preferred.
