Job Title: Global Engagement Leader

This leadership role is a pivotal part of the Faculty's strategy to advance its global engagement and partnership development. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the university's international agenda and driving innovation across the faculty's international engagement portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic partnership development by identifying, assessing, and growing global partnerships that align with the Faculty's research, education, and engagement priorities.
  • Coordinate international activities by managing international delegations, events, and agreements while ensuring alignment with University policies and compliance frameworks.
  • Advise internal stakeholders as a trusted advisor on international initiatives, working closely with internal and external partners to coordinate and align engagement activities.
  • Support continuous improvement by developing policies, tracking global trends, and embedding a culture of innovation across the Faculty's international engagement portfolio.
  • Mentor and supervise the International Engagement Coordinator to support capability development and performance.

Requirements:

  • Proactive, independent, highly operational, culturally professional with extensive experience in international engagement and partnership development.
  • Strong technical abilities in compliance work and cross-functional collaboration.
  • A postgraduate qualification in international engagement, global strategy, or higher education management.
  • Demonstrated success managing international partnerships in complex institutional environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Strong project management and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, data-informed approach.
  • Familiarity with the Australian higher education sector and international education policy trends.
