Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Services Engineer to join our team at Fujitsu. As a key technical role, you will maintain and develop our clients' on-premises infrastructure and applications. Your responsibilities will include supporting unique DICT applications for multiple customers, maintaining the availability and security of their services, and providing technical guidance during new technologies initiatives.
About the Role:
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients on-premises infrastructure and applications.
- Maintain and monitor services within the on-premise infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
- Work within a team as a systems/product/security specialist to support end-users, follow established processes, and release verified, validated, and documented enhancements.
- Take ownership of diagnosing and resolving complex problems, escalating or gaining support where appropriate.
- Proactively analyze trends and reports to resolve problems, maintain, and enhance services, and understand customer business requirements, contract scope, and issue impact on service delivery.
Requirements:
- AGSVA Security Clearance is essential for this role.
- Sound knowledge and experience in Wintel and Virtualisation technologies On Prem.
- Design, deploy, and manage Windows Hyper-V environments, experience in administration of Microsoft Windows Server functions, and knowledge of backup and disaster recovery methodologies using tools such as Veeam, NetBackup, and CommVault.
- Experience in developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and processes, and experience in Defence or Government is highly desirable.
