About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Application Support Specialist to join our team at ABC. This role is responsible for providing proactive support and maintenance of corporate application systems to ensure agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and troubleshoot complex technical issues with application systems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Liaise with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure seamless communication and effective issue resolution.
  • Contribute to capital project assignments, participating in or leading projects as assigned, and undertake the enhancement and testing of applications in accordance with development standards.
  • Implement proactive monitoring strategies to identify problem trends within systems, including performance metrics.
  • Review and manage software patches and upgrades proactively to maintain technical compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system documentation, operational procedures, and processes.
About You:
  • You hold relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience in computing or a second-level application support role.
  • You possess advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate, analyze, diagnose, and solve complex technical problems.
  • You have extensive experience in supporting and maintaining various IT applications, including quality processes like ITIL.
  • You demonstrate high-level analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise and communicate with internal clients, colleagues, and vendors.
