About the RoleThe Pathology Supervisor is a key leadership position responsible for leading the Pathology team in providing high-quality and professional pathology services to patients and stakeholders. This role involves:
Key Responsibilities- Performing high-quality pathology clinical tasks and managing the day-to-day operations of the Pathology Laboratories across our Gold Coast & Brisbane Clinics.
- Building an aligned and effective team that are highly skilled and functional.
- Coordinating resources to ensure the delivery of scientific outcomes and patient experience.
In addition, the Pathology Supervisor supports the Scientific Director on leadership, daily work priorities, and troubleshooting within their laboratory, as well as staff engagement and activities. This role will contribute to the achievement of the Scientific Leadership objective.
Requirements- An undergraduate degree in a science-related field with a postgraduate qualification (as per the RTAC CoP/NPACC requirements).
- Meet the NPACC requirements for senior supervising scientist.
- Proven ability to work as a team member.
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable.
- Ability to prioritize workload, consistently meet deadlines, and seek help from the Regional Pathology Coordinator and Scientific Director when required.
- Excellent organisational, record-keeping, and administrative skills.
- Previous experience with Quality Management (desirable).
- Experience in a senior or supervisory role (desirable).
