Water Infrastructure Leader

We are seeking an experienced Water Infrastructure Engineering Manager to lead our critical water infrastructure projects across Victoria. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving program delivery excellence, ensuring exceptional project outcomes, and building strategic relationships with our water authority clients.
This is a pivotal role that requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in water infrastructure engineering, and excellent stakeholder management abilities. You will work closely with our award-winning Water Infrastructure team across Australia, New Zealand, and globally to deliver high-performing programs that meet the needs of our clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing complex water infrastructure projects and programs, with a deep understanding of the local water infrastructure landscape and regulatory environment. You will be expected to cultivate connections at senior levels within water authorities, identify growth opportunities, and translate client needs into actionable strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Program Delivery Excellence: Oversee project performance, ensure adherence to schedule and budget requirements, and maintain the highest standards of delivery across our portfolio.
- Build Strategic Client Relationships: Cultivate connections at senior levels within water authorities, identify growth opportunities, and translate client needs into actionable strategies.
- Lead High-Performing Teams: Develop and mentor team members, promote collaboration between core and specialist resources, and create succession pathways that strengthen our capabilities.
Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience in water infrastructure engineering consultancy with a strong track record working with water authorities.
- Proven success managing complex water infrastructure projects and programs.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience mentoring and developing engineering professionals.
- Established connections within Australia's water sector, particularly with metropolitan authorities.
- Deep understanding of the local water infrastructure landscape and regulatory environment.
