**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Lead Operator Silvan, this is a pivotal role within the Southern Operations team. As the Water Supply Operator you will be responsible for managing day-to-day and emergency operations of Melbourne Water's water supply assets. These assets include; storage and service reservoirs, treatment plants, pumping stations and transfer mains. This involves practical hands-on operational duties, and the use of several IT systems including remote monitoring & system control.

**About you**:

- A Certificate III or higher in Water/Wastewater Industry Operations, relevant trade or experience is highly desirable
- Experience with or knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes
- Ability to take accurate numerical readings and measurements.
- Ability to write clear incident reports and complete log sheets.
- Demonstrated problem solving capabilities
- Ability to pass an AusCheck and Police check

- The Security of Critical Infrastructure (SoCI) Act 2018 requires Melbourne Water, as an operator of critical infrastructure, to prepare a Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Program (CIRMP), which has been undertaken and managed by the Security and Emergency Management Team._
- Melbourne Water are required to assess roles across Melbourne Water to determine what roles are critical under the Act. All employees working in a role deemed SOCI critical will require additional ground checks via AusCheck. This role is deemed critical, and the preferred applicant will be asked to undertake an AusCheck._
