We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Laboratory Operations Assistant to join our Sydney team at Teva Pharmaceuticals.

This role is responsible for managing the receiving, handling, and distribution of goods and materials in our laboratory, ensuring the smooth operation of our research and production facilities.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in inventory management, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.
  • Record and maintain accurate documentation of goods received, including updating inventory systems and logs.
  • Provide support to the local procurement manager, including establishing new vendors and pricing agreements.
  • Work with global support functions to maintain integrity of purchase-to-pay system.
  • Safely store and organize materials according to laboratory protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and laboratory teams to ensure timely and efficient receipt of goods.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with reordering supplies to avoid shortages.
  • Assist with packing and dispatching outgoing goods and materials as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in inventory management or a similar role, preferably within a laboratory or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Experience with SAP, Ariba, and Microsoft Access desirable.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move packages and materials as needed (manual handling training is a plus).
  • Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a laboratory or production setting.
