The role of Technical Engineering Manager is a key position within the VHBA's Engineering Unit. The successful applicant will lead an engineering team, providing expert technical leadership across all VHBA health care capital infrastructure, advice and guidelines, and capital programs.

This role requires a high level of technical expertise in engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to provide Technical Engineering related advice to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing authoritative advice and innovative solutions to Technical Engineering into the healthcare capital program from masterplan through to detailed design.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive technical guidance for VHBA staff and other key stakeholders.
  • Working effectively within a complex multi-disciplinary engineering team to ensure Technical Engineering solutions are integrated in the capital program.
  • Aligning the team with organisational values and goals through effective people management and modelling.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • A degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience working within large infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Passion for Technical Engineering within health infrastructure.
