Job Opportunity:

As an External Warranty Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality warranty claims and collaborating with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have mechanical expertise and a passion for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply advanced knowledge of warranty and goodwill policies to ensure successful claims.
  • Utilize technical expertise in truck rebuilds, components, diagnostics, and cost repair/quote analysis to drive results.
  • Leverage enterprise systems like JDE and MS Project to track claims and manage workflows effectively.
  • Interpret technical documents and bulletins to develop accurate claim solutions and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Manage external warranty claims in line with manufacturer guidelines and company policies.
  • Investigate and resolve disputed warranty issues while ensuring accurate repair order costings.
  • Maintain up-to-date warranty documentation, including technical bulletins and correspondence.
  • Prepare warranty performance reports and analyze trends to recommend process improvements.
  • Represent warranty insights in supplier/vendor performance reviews and meetings.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a warranty and/or maintenance management role.
  • Mechanical trade qualifications and experience in external repair and warranty functions.
  • Exposure to maintenance management and expertise in truck rebuilds, component repair, and cost analysis.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong technical knowledge of OTR components, diagnostics, and warranty policies.
  • Proficiency in enterprise systems like JDE and MS Project, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • A collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills with a proactive approach to driving efficiency and improvement.
