Job Description

The Practice Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring seamless workflows and delivering an exceptional patient and staff experience. This involves collaborating with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to maintain a high standard of service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily clinic operations, including patient bookings, billing, and Medicare claims
  • Lead and supervise administrative and support staff to achieve optimal performance
  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and supplier management to ensure operational efficiency
  • Implement and maintain practice policies and procedures to guarantee compliance and quality standards
  • Liaise with doctors, allied health professionals, and external stakeholders to promote collaboration and effective communication

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Practice Manager or similar healthcare management role, with at least 1 year's experience in a GP clinic or equivalent
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with excellent organisational and time-management abilities
  • Proficiency in medical practice software, with a solid understanding of Medicare, private billing, and healthcare compliance
  • Knowledge of HR and financial processes, with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
