Job Role: Medical Lead

The Central Adelaide Local Health Network’s Mental Health Clinical Program is seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical professional to fill the role of Medical Lead. This temporary 3-year appointment involves full-time consultant work, including medical leadership and clinical duties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic direction and guidance for all clinical work within the program
  • Contributing to service development and planning within the program
  • Maintaining a clinical workload as required

The successful candidate will have the right to return to a permanent clinical position up to 1.00 FTE at the conclusion of the 3-year term. Essential qualifications include holding and maintaining appropriate registrations with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and possessing specialist qualifications for a Consultant registerable as a Psychiatrist with the Medical Board of Australia.

Applicants should possess strong leadership skills, experience in senior clinical roles, and the ability to motivate and guide others. They should also be able to work closely with the program leadership team, including the Nursing Lead, Allied Health Lead, and Program Director.

Key Requirements:

  • Specialist qualifications for a Consultant registerable as a Psychiatrist with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Holding and maintaining appropriate registrations with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  • Experience in senior clinical leadership roles
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate others
