About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Swim Instructor to join our team at Parramatta Aquatic Centre. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality aquatic education and water safety programs to students of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver lessons in water safety, water familiarisation, learn to swim, and squads with a focus on safety and variety for participants.
  • Plan and teach lessons that cater to the needs of students, evaluating and adjusting lesson plans as necessary.
  • Monitor the condition of teaching equipment and ensure a safe and clean learning environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Contribute to a customer-oriented environment and promote teamwork and communication through collaborative work practices.
Requirements
  • Current Australian Swimming & Water Safety qualification.
  • Current CPR Certificate.
  • NSW Working with Children Check.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in swim teaching/coaching at all levels from infants to squads.
  • First aid certificate.
  • Current Australian Teacher of Infant & Preschool qualification.
  • Current Australian Teacher of Access & Inclusion qualification.
  • Current Australian Teacher of Adult qualification.
  • Current Australian Teacher of Competitive Strokes qualification.
  • Pool Lifeguard qualification.
