
Communication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our multidisciplinary team as a Communication Specialist. This role will involve providing high-quality speech pathology services to individuals with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proactive, and motivated by continuous improvement. They will have experience working in the disability sector and be committed to ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing an allocated caseload and delivering timely therapeutic services
- Providing speech pathology services to participants within schools, homes, and the local community
- Formulating treatment goals unique to each participant using clinical observations, standardized assessments, and evidence-based interventions
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintaining awareness of current legislation and guidelines to ensure compliance
Required Qualifications:
- Current certified practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience as a Speech Pathologist beyond graduation
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
- A proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas
- Genuine passion for working in the disability sector
