The Return-to-Work Coordinator plays a vital role in promoting workplace rehabilitation and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. This position involves liaising with stakeholders, managing rehabilitation plans, and contributing to the continuous improvement of return-to-work systems.
This role will be based out of our Eagle Farm site and provide support to the InfraBuild business units nationally, along with other Mesh business units in QLD.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the process of lodging workers' compensation claims and understanding compensation entitlements and claim determination processes.
- Identify and implement administrative procedures following a workplace injury.
- Coordinate and design suitable duties programs tailored to common injuries and individual worker needs.
- Recognise and address psychosocial and psychological factors affecting return-to-work outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with injured workers, management, treating practitioners, insurers, and other key stakeholders.
- Establish or collaborate on rehabilitation plans with external providers.
- Raise awareness among supervisors, managers, and workers around workplace rehabilitation practices.
- Monitor return to work progress and address breaches of obligations.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of workplace rehabilitation policies and procedures.
- Completion of relevant training in Queensland Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience in workplace injury management or return to work coordination with a self-insured business.
- Familiarity with legislative frameworks and rehabilitation guidelines.
- Strong understanding of workers' compensation systems and rehabilitation services.
- Ability to design and implement effective return to work strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and injury impact on work duties.
