- Organisational Support: Provide prompt rehabilitation and return to work support for all work-related and non-work-related injuries/illnesses for employees across Australia
- Conduct work site visits where required to develop return to work plans
- Document, coordinate and monitor the Return to Work/Suitable Duties Plans in liaison with the employee, treating professionals, line managers and the insurer
- Educate line managers on rehabilitation roles and responsibilities and keep them informed of progress
- Ensure all employees are advised about the Workplace Rehabilitation Policy and procedure as part of induction
- Maintain a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and actioning opportunities
- Risk Management: Establish and maintain a network of external Rehabilitation Service Providers; promote timely reporting of injuries and early contact regarding rehabilitation and insurer reporting
- Inform employees of entitlements and responsibilities and provide access to relevant resources
- Maintain confidential rehabilitation records and manage the process with confidentiality and sensitivity
- Ensure compliance with state legislation for workers' compensation, Qld self-insurance and national rehabilitation
- Results & Reporting: Keep accurate case notes meeting CFL specifications and legal requirements
- Provide documentation to and work with state government auditors
- Manage timeframes to meet legislative requirements and support auditability
- Maintain data integrity and conduct analysis to inform improvements
- Prepare monthly reports for key stakeholders
You'll bring a strong background in injury management and rehabilitation, with a proactive, evidence-based approach. Key qualifications and experience include:
- Multi-state experience in workers' compensation claims
- Familiarity with QLD self-insurance requirements
- Deep understanding of state-based legislation
- Strong data management and reporting skills
- Experience in workplace-based rehabilitation
- Knowledge of safety principles in injury management
