The Role
We are seeking an Environmental Sustainability Leader to join our team and drive Dexus's sustainability strategy forward. You will collaborate with various teams to lead sustainability disclosures for listed investors, implement environmental strategic programs, and contribute to the development of environmental sustainability strategy.
Reporting into the General Manager, Environmental & Operational Sustainability, you will work closely with Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and Finance to prepare public sustainability disclosures, including the Annual Reporting Suite and climate-related disclosures in line with the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage projects to embed sustainability practices across corporate teams and assets, improving data collection processes.
- Contribute to governance of committees, deliver communications internally and externally, and ensure accuracy of sustainability statements.
- Work with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability within Dexus's workplace systems and culture.
- Research sustainable programs and develop business cases for new initiatives.
About You
You have a passion for sustainability, a practical approach, and excellent communication skills. Your empathetic nature enables you to influence outcomes and negotiate effectively. You excel at engaging diverse audiences and conveying complex concepts clearly.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A degree in Environmental Sustainability, Communications, Finance, Engineering, Science, or a related field, with a strong foundation in sustainability principles.
- Proven experience in delivering sustainability reporting and climate-related disclosures, with a solid understanding of their relationship with financial reporting.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing environmental sustainability programs, managing large-scale sustainability change initiatives, and ensuring operationalization within corporations.
What We Offer
