The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth airport operations by loading and unloading baggage and cargo, providing cabin cleaning services, and assisting with aircraft pushback.
This dynamic and safety-focused environment requires employees to adapt to variable schedules aligned with airline timetables, including early mornings, late shifts, and weekends. Flexibility is crucial to maintaining the efficiency and reliability of airport operations.
Responsibilities- Load and unload aircraft baggage efficiently.
- Safely transfer luggage to and from aircraft.
- Handle baggage weighing up to 35kg repetitively.
- Operate in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth operations, including sorting, loading, and unloading baggage and cargo accurately.
- Manage baggage flow for departing and arriving flights using sorting equipment and manual handling techniques effectively.
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, 24 hours a day.
- Good physical fitness for lifting up to 32kg.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and grow.
- Australian Citizen/Resident with unlimited work rights.
- Possession of a valid QLD driver's license and reliable transportation.
