Job Title

A skilled Culinary Team Member is required to assist in the operation of our ocean-front hotel's kitchen.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Chef De Partie and possess strong knowledge of food safety requirements.

Able to operate kitchen equipment safely, this individual must be self-motivated and energetic with an eye for detail.

This role requires effective communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with our culinary team.

Main Duties:

  • Supervise the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs.
  • Delegate tasks to kitchen employees to meet service demands.
  • Assist with menu preparation and ensure adequate supplies are available.
  • Liaise with restaurant team members regarding menu items and changes.
  • Maintain stock rotation and minimum wastage.
  • Work with apprentices in food preparation and production.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the hotel industry.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
