Culinary Professional

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team in a dynamic kitchen environment. As a key member of our culinary team, you will have the opportunity to work in various outlets, including room service, a hotel breakfast restaurant, and bars with breathtaking ocean views.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef with the operation of the kitchen, ensuring high food standards, preparation, ordering, presentation, and cooking techniques are carried out according to established recipes and standards.
  • Supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Executive and Sous Chefs, delegate duties, and responsibilities to ensure service demands are met.
  • Liaise with Restaurant team members regarding menu items, additions, and changes.
  • Maintain excellent presentation standards and cost control for all food and beverage outlets.
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage by implementing and maintaining stock control procedures.
Requirements
  • Full Australian working rights.
  • Previous experience in the hotel industry as a Chef De Partie.
  • Knowledge of food safety requirements and strong product knowledge of menu items and seasonal ingredients.
  • An ability to understand and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
