This role provides coaching, technical expertise, and advice on various aspects of safety systems and risk management to leaders across site. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing safety data and information sources to identify emerging safety trends and recommend safety improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coaching individuals in site safety systems
  • Attending various safety routines across site
  • Conducting training sessions across various safety systems
  • Establishing and leading an investigation quality working group
  • Monitoring a Safety email inbox and responding to support operational needs
  • Leading a safety field leadership improvement program
  • Supporting the sites Health and Safety Representative Process

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a safety role, experience in the mining industry, and a tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience managing safety. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also essential, as well as coaching and mentoring skills with a genuine desire to help people achieve outcomes and support continuous improvement.
