The position of Lead Subsea Controls Engineer is a key role in our company that involves developing and executing scopes aligned with customer and project requirements and priorities. This client-facing position requires proactive collaboration across all business functions and managing scopes across geographically diverse teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing and Executing Scopes: Developing and executing scopes aligned with customer and project requirements and priorities, ensuring timely delivery and meeting customer specifications.
- Defining CTR Requirements: Defining Cost, Time, and Resource (CTR) requirements for engineering planning and forecasting, driving engineering and team activities to ensure on-time delivery.
- Driving Engineering Activities: Driving engineering and team activities to ensure on-time delivery, increasing regional ownership and accountability over APACI project execution.
- Collaborating during Design Reviews: Collaborating during design reviews, working with controlled titles at all project stages, contributing to risk assessments, and driving mitigation activities.
- Assessing Manpower Needs: Assessing manpower needs for offshore installations, including skill gap analysis, providing planning support, reviewing procedures, and leading offshore teams during commissioning and start-up.
- Ensuring Deliverables Meet Specifications: Ensuring deliverables meet customer specifications, regional technical regulations, and standards for Australia.
- Reviewing and Approving Product Clarifications: Reviewing and approving product clarifications, procedures, and technical reports.
- Providing Technical Support and Leadership: Providing technical support and leadership during business and non-business hours, including rota-based 24/7 on-call support.
- A degree in Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering, Industrial Computer Systems Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Over 10 years of engineering experience in the subsea industry or related services.
- Expertise in SCADA systems, PLC operations, instrumentation design and operation.
- Experience with subsea control systems, including software development and communication protocols.
- Knowledge of operational requirements for DCS, MCS, PCDMs, SCMs, SEMs, HPUs, XTs, and umbilicals.
- Experience with EPC project control system design, testing, commissioning, and offshore startup activities.
