Subsea Control Engineer Position Overview

Deliver Innovative Solutions for Subsea Systems

Job Description

This role involves delivering innovative control solutions that improve the capabilities, efficiency, and performance of subsea systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership to various activities related to our control system install base within the Services APAC Region.

You will work closely with customers' teams on existing and new install bases, requiring proactive collaboration across all functions within our business. Your tasks will include developing and executing scopes in line with customer and project requirements, defining cost, time, and resource (CTR) requirements, driving engineering and team activities, and increasing regional ownership and accountability over APACI project execution.

In addition, you will collaborate during design reviews, assess manpower required for offshore installations, provide planning support, and lead offshore teams during commissioning and start-up. You will also ensure deliverables meet customer technical specifications, regional Technical Regulations, and Standards for Australia.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering or a related discipline, along with +10 years of engineering experience within the subsea industry or a related service organization. Your domain expertise should include SCADA systems, PLC operations, instrumentation product design, and operation, as well as good domain knowledge in operational requirements associated with DCS, MCS, PCDMs, SCMs, SEMs, HPUs, XTs, and umbilicals.
