Job Overview:

An innovative and strategic role is available for a seasoned Subsea Controls Specialist.

This key position requires an expert in subsea control systems, including software development, communication protocols, and operational requirements.

The successful candidate will lead activities related to the Baker Hughes Control System install base within the Services APAC Region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute scopes aligned with customer and project requirements and priorities.
  • Define Cost, Time, and Resource (CTR) requirements for engineering planning and forecasting.
  • Drive engineering and team activities to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Increase regional ownership and accountability over APACI project execution, fostering autonomy and regional capacity.
  • Collaborate during design reviews, working with controlled titles at all project stages, contribute to risk assessments, and drive mitigation activities.
  • Assess manpower needs for offshore installations, including skill gap analysis, provide planning support, review procedures, and lead offshore teams during commissioning and start-up.
  • Evaluate deliverables against customer specifications, regional technical regulations, and standards for Australia.
  • Review and approve product clarifications, procedures, and technical reports.

Work Experience:

  • A degree in Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering, Industrial Computer Systems Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of engineering experience in the subsea industry or related services.
  • Expertise in SCADA systems, PLC operations, instrumentation design and operation.
  • Experience with subsea control systems, including software development and communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of operational requirements for DCS, MCS, PCDMs, SCMs, SEMs, HPUs, XTs, and umbilicals.
