Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator/Contract Administrator to join our team in Melbourne's inner eastern suburbs.

This is a unique opportunity to work on high-end residential construction projects, developing accurate cost estimates and preparing detailed quantity take-offs, material pricing, and labour estimates.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse architectural plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for residential construction projects.
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, material pricing, and labour estimates for various trades and scopes of work.
  • Administer contracts, including subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and variations.
  • Assist in the procurement process by obtaining quotes and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
  • Monitor project costs, track variations, and provide accurate and timely reports on project financials.
  • Manage progress claims, invoicing, and ensure timely payment to subcontractors and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years' experience as a Estimator/Contract Administrator in architecturally designed residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify inconsistencies or issues early.
  • Proficiency using Procore.
  • A proactive and accountable approach, managing own time and delivering reliable results.
