About the Role

The Technical Director position at Allocate is a key leadership role within our Professional Service team. As a seasoned expert, you will be responsible for leading technical teams to plan, develop, and test solutions to enhance, optimize, and automate existing business and technical processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take lead and ownership of technical projects and initiatives.
  • Specification, planning, development, and testing of solutions and/or specialized functions with an eye to enhancing, optimizing, or automating existing business and/or technical processes.
  • Manage customer expectations around timelines, deliverables, solutions requirements, and enhancements, risks.
  • Plan, manage, and review work sustainment sprints.
  • Line management of a team – performance management, engagement, skills development, coaching.
  • Expertise in technical knowledge areas such as MAPS, OneView, relational database fundamentals, SQL, and knowledge of Defence structure and processes.
  • Ability to mentor/guide other technical staff.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Organizational and time-management (prioritization) skills.
  • Decision-making and task delegation skills.
Requirements
  • MAPS/OneView Product Configuration.
  • Relational Database Fundamentals.
  • SQL (Data searching/manipulation).
  • Knowledge of Defence structure and processes.
  • Knowledge of Change Management.
  • Ticketing System processes and their SLAs.
  • Ability to mentor/guide other technical staff.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
