Role Overview

The primary responsibility of the Facilities Maintenance Specialist is to collaborate closely with the Operations Manager(s) to ensure the ongoing upkeep of the facility and to provide a secure environment for tenants, visitors, and the general public while fostering high levels of stakeholder engagement.

Core Responsibilities

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will perform various tasks as requested through the facility's maintenance system, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with company policies and legal standards.

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on both internal and external structures, including parking areas, signage, roadways, and gates.
  • Oversee the maintenance and servicing of tenant facilities, including restrooms and loading areas.
  • Ensure the upkeep and presentation of common areas and public amenities.
  • Maintain internal and external lighting systems.
  • Assist with minor capital improvement projects for the facility.

For larger maintenance tasks, the Facilities Maintenance Specialist will coordinate with qualified contractors to ensure proper execution of repairs and maintenance work.

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will consistently and effectively:

  • Promote workplace health and safety standards.
  • Ensure the safety of tenants and visitors.
  • Maintain high-quality work standards and efficient use of time.
  • Manage maintenance expenses within the allocated budget.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of relevant procedures and policies.
