About the Role

This position requires an experienced Senior Mechanical Supervisor to lead and supervise HVAC installation, testing, and commissioning activities on a major infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring works are executed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site leadership and supervision to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and project HSE requirements.
  • Coordinate access, lifting, penetrations, and interfaces with other trades (fire, hydraulics, electrical).
  • Oversee testing and commissioning activities (pipe pressure testing, air balancing, duct leakage tests, smoke and cause/effect testing).
Key Qualifications
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical/HVAC or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience in HVAC construction supervision on large-scale infrastructure or building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (ductwork, chilled water, ventilation, Mechanical LV systems, BMCS).
  • Demonstrated safety leadership and compliance with WHS requirements.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills.
  • Able to delegate and take responsibility to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently and maximises project and individuals' effectiveness.
