SSA Group is working with a leading Mechanical Contractor seeking an experienced HVAC Construction Project Manager to lead a team in Sydney.

About the Role :

Reporting to a well-respected Construction Manager, you will lead, develop, and manage large-scale, high-profile projects up to $20 million, ensuring the highest levels of quality are delivered.

What will I be doing?

You will deliver high-quality air conditioning services, including:

  • Detailed project programming, control, and managing project progress and performance
  • Variation and contract negotiations
  • Managing financials across projects, budgeting, and forecasts
  • Design Management
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks, and implementing effective risk management strategies
  • Building long-term positive client relationships
  • Managing onsite subcontractors, trades, and labour requirements
  • Managing defect rectification
  • Mentoring and coaching Junior Project Managers and Site teams
  • Establishing and ensuring compliance with all relevant WHS requirements

About You :

  • Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience within the HVAC industry in Australia
  • Knowledge of the Australian Standards relevant to the HVAC industry
  • Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or a Degree in Construction Management or equivalent
  • HVAC Project management skills with experience in handling competing priorities, utilizing outstanding organisational and planning abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex activities and/or information to provide innovative solutions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to adapt to unique and challenging environments
  • A strong desire to accept challenges and deliver results
