Project Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead the delivery of our HVAC systems. This key role will oversee the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical services across a major infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, ventilation systems, and Mechanical LV systems.
  • Coordinate and review shop drawings, RFIs, ITPs, commissioning plans, and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure subcontractor works comply with design, project specifications, NCC, BCA, and project requirements.
  • Manage site engineering deliverables, including penetration schedules, red-line mark-ups, and commissioning documentation.
  • Provide day-to-day engineering and technical support to supervisors, site engineers, and subcontractors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is highly regarded.
  • Membership of relevant Engineering Institutions, such as Engineers Australia, is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in HVAC project delivery, preferably in a construction environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in installing and commissioning large-scale HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with Australian Standards, NCC, and relevant codes.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, technical submittals, and QA/commissioning processes.
  • Background in rail or large public infrastructure projects is beneficial.
