Teaching Position

This role is suited to an individual who is highly motivated, relationship-focused and passionate about creating engaging learning experiences that foster a desire to learn in all students.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop high level teaching skills in a supportive environment aimed at improving the future of students at educational risk. The ideal candidate aspires to academic excellence and is committed to high quality teaching and learning.

Professional knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed practice and supporting students' social and emotional wellbeing is preferred. A sound understanding of The Western Australian Curriculum and the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework is critical to this role.

Job responsibilities include developing authentic and rich learning tasks, working with students to develop goals, applying a range of instructional and explicit teaching methods incorporating current and emerging technologies to meet the needs of our students.

Requirements
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting
