Job Title

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement Advisor Role Overview:

We are seeking an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement Advisor to join our team in Perth.

This role will provide direct support to First Nations survivors as they navigate the legal pathways to redress, work with a multi-disciplinary team, and participate in projects and community education activities to achieve systemic reforms for the benefit of First Nations people.

  • Provide culturally safe and respectful services to First Nations survivors;
  • Work collaboratively with Social Workers, Lawyers, and Financial Counsellors to deliver services to First Nations survivors;
  • Participate in projects and community education activities to achieve systemic reforms for the benefit of First Nations people.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A high level of cultural knowledge and understanding of the experiences and challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Experience working with First Nations communities and/or individuals.
