**Role Overview**

The Cultural Heritage Team Leader is responsible for managing cultural heritage functions across our operations in accordance with organisational policies and legislative requirements.

This involves leading a team of professionals dedicated to cultural heritage functions, providing coaching, mentoring, and strategic guidance to internal stakeholders.

Assessing all projects for cultural heritage risks and ensuring compliance with policies and legislative requirements are key responsibilities of this role.

Fostering respectful and cooperative relationships with Traditional Owners and their representatives, supporting our Cultural Heritage Framework, is also essential.

Collaboration with project teams to ensure timely integration of cultural heritage management requirements within project scopes is critical.

### Key Responsibilities ###

  • Lead a team of professionals dedicated to cultural heritage functions, providing coaching, mentoring, and strategic guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Assess all projects for cultural heritage risks and ensure compliance with policies and legislative requirements.

### Requirements ###

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in archaeology, anthropology, cultural heritage management, or related discipline.
  • Considerable experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traditional Owners and their representative bodies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships, liaise, negotiate and effectively address and resolve risks and issues with Traditional Owners.
