Heritage Specialist Role

We are seeking a seasoned Heritage Specialist to join our team in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical expertise to support clients with historical and Aboriginal archaeological and strategic advice and insights.

About the Position:

  • This role involves providing practical advice on archaeology projects with historical and Aboriginal cultural heritage significance.
  • The selected individual will assist with report preparation, including heritage studies, due diligence assessments, management plans, and impact assessments.
  • A significant amount of travel will be required for field work, surveys, stakeholder engagement, and excavations.
  • The successful candidate will communicate clearly and transparently with internal and external clients.
  • They will work collaboratively with other professionals on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Promoting the firm and its services will also be a key responsibility.
  • Adhering to workplace health and safety policies and procedures is essential.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Cultural Heritage, Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related discipline.
  • The ability to undertake historical research and present accurate preliminary assessments.
  • Experience engaging with First Nations groups is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Commercial discipline and consistency are also essential.
  • The capacity to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders is crucial.
