Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead our financial strategy and drive profitability at our resort. As a key member of our finance team, you will oversee daily financial operations, provide leadership and guidance, and shape financial strategies to enhance our resort's financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily financial operations, including managing complex reporting processes and leading initiatives to optimize financial systems.
  • Guide daily financial operations, oversee payroll for a portfolio of properties, and ensure rigorous compliance with standards.
  • Lead the review of financial documents, approve requisitions and payments, and provide strategic oversight across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cashiering functions.
  • Manage annual budgets, drive financial forecasts, and ensure accurate statutory reporting.
  • Lead by example, foster a culture of excellence, and drive continuous innovation and improvements.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce or similar.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and statutory responsibilities.
  • Proficient in accounting software; experience with Time Target, Wage EASY, Purchase Plus, and Sun would be beneficial (but not required).
  • Thorough understanding of tax, superannuation, long service leave, and National Employment Standards.
  • Relevant State Police Check required.
